Terms of Service

1. Who we are

HoloRyn TCG is operated by [LEGAL OPERATOR NAME REQUIRED] of [BUSINESS ADDRESS REQUIRED]. Contact: support@example.com. These terms form the contract between the operator and the person or business using HoloRyn TCG.

2. Who may use HoloRyn TCG

You must give accurate information and keep your sign-in details secure. You must be 18 or over to buy a Vendor subscription. A person under 18 may use a Collector account only with permission and supervision from a parent or guardian who accepts responsibility for the account.

If you use Vendor mainly for your trade or business, you contract as a business customer. If you act wholly or mainly outside a trade or business, you may be a consumer and retain all rights that UK consumer law gives you.

3. Accounts and plans

One sign-up creates a free Collector account or access to a paid business workspace. Collector remains free unless a paid feature is clearly agreed. Vendor pricing is £6.99 monthly or £69.99 annually unless a different total price is shown before purchase. The planned Shop price is £24.99 monthly or £249 annually and includes up to five staff places unless a different total or allowance is shown before purchase. Trial and preview access do not guarantee that every payment-provider integration is live.

Full subscription, trial, renewal, cancellation and refund information is in the Subscription and Cancellation Policy, which forms part of these terms.

4. The service

HoloRyn TCG provides collection records, card and slab scanning assistance, catalogue matching, market-value evidence, Master Set views, Vendor tools for inventory, trades, sales and financial records, and—where enabled—a Shop workspace for retail stock, till records, staff roles and stocktakes. We may improve, replace or remove features where reasonably necessary for security, reliability, legal compliance or product development. We will avoid materially reducing paid functionality without reasonable notice where practicable.

5. Scanning, grades and valuations

Recognition results, certificate numbers, grades, catalogue matches and values are estimates and decision-support information. They can be incomplete, delayed or wrong. You must inspect and confirm every record before buying, selling, grading, insuring, valuing for tax, or representing a card to another person. HoloRyn TCG does not authenticate cards, guarantee grades or predict future prices, and is not financial, investment, tax or legal advice.

6. Your records and images

You retain ownership of lawful images and records you upload. You give us a limited permission to host, copy, crop, analyse, process and display them only as needed to run, secure, improve and support the service. You must have the right to upload the content. Routine scanner photographs may be held temporarily and removed after recognition. HoloRyn TCG may retain compact, non-viewable image-comparison measurements linked to a confirmed catalogue card. Where that catalogue card has no usable recognition reference, the clearest confirmed card-only crop may be retained as a shared scanner reference and replaced later by a clearer example. Vendors can deliberately retain an exact-item photograph for condition evidence, insurance, transactions or marketplace listings. When you create a marketplace export, you instruct HoloRyn TCG to create an expiring signed link for each selected active-stock image so the marketplace or a person with that link can retrieve it. You remain responsible for checking listing accuracy, condition, category, price, marketplace permissions and account policies before publishing. Optional Vendor-sale learning and researched market observations are controlled separately. You choose whether to contribute them, and a researched observation can be withdrawn from the inventory edit screen. Shared calculations do not reveal private purchase costs, target prices, profits, customers or account balances.

6A. Collector recently paid price evidence

When a Collector enters a positive purchase price and a purchase date within the previous 31 days, HoloRyn TCG may use a pseudonymised valuation contribution containing the catalogue card identity, raw or slab state, printing, grader, grade, paid amount, date and a pseudonymous contributor key. It does not include your name, email, customer, notes, location, receipt, target price or profit. Vendor, Shop and Owner acquisition costs are excluded because they may represent trade or wholesale buying rather than retail market value. Eligible Collector paid prices are lower-weight evidence, one account’s influence is capped, isolated extreme prices are downweighted or excluded, and a cluster of similar independent entries may receive more weight. You remain responsible for checking every estimate.

6B. Shop workspace and payment services

Shop records may include general stock, Pokémon stock, till sessions, sales, staff roles and stocktake adjustments. A saved payment provider or terminal is a record of how the shop took payment unless HoloRyn TCG expressly confirms that a live provider connection is active. Shop owners are responsible for provider contracts, device security, refunds, chargebacks, receipts, taxes, staff permissions and compliance with provider and consumer rules. Staff access must be removed promptly when no longer required.

7. Acceptable use

You must not misuse the service, bypass access controls, test security without written permission, upload malware or unlawful material, scrape private user information, overload the platform, infringe intellectual property, or use HoloRyn TCG to misdescribe cards, grades, certificates, prices, taxes or transactions. We may suspend an account where reasonably necessary to protect users, investigate misuse, comply with law or address non-payment.

8. Intellectual property

The HoloRyn TCG software, branding, interface and original content belong to the operator or its licensors. Catalogue images, card names, marketplace data and grading-company references may belong to their respective owners. HoloRyn TCG is independent and is not affiliated with Pokémon, Nintendo, Creatures, Game Freak, marketplaces or grading companies unless expressly stated.

9. Availability and support

We use reasonable care and skill to provide the service but do not promise uninterrupted availability. Maintenance, internet failures, device limitations and third-party providers can affect access. Support is available through the Support page.

10. Consumer rights

If you are a UK consumer, the service must be supplied with reasonable care and skill and digital content must meet applicable statutory standards. Nothing in these terms excludes or limits rights or remedies that cannot lawfully be excluded. Details about cancellation are in the Subscription and Cancellation Policy.

11. Liability

Nothing excludes liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, breach of statutory rights, or any liability that cannot lawfully be excluded.

For consumers, we are responsible for loss or damage that is a foreseeable result of our breach or failure to use reasonable care and skill, but not for business losses or losses caused by inaccurate information you did not reasonably verify.

For business customers, subject to the previous paragraph, neither party is liable for indirect or consequential loss, loss of profit, revenue, business, opportunity, goodwill or anticipated savings. The operator’s total liability arising in any 12-month period is limited to the paid workspace fees paid by that customer in that period, except where a different limit is required by law or agreed in writing.

12. Ending the agreement

You may cancel Vendor renewal, return to Collector, or delete the account using Settings. Deleting the account is separate from cancelling renewal and is permanent. We may end or suspend the agreement for material breach, unlawful use, serious security risk or non-payment, normally after reasonable notice unless urgent action is required.

13. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms for legal, security or product reasons. Material changes will be communicated in the app or by email before they take effect where practicable. Continued use after the effective date constitutes acceptance only where lawful; we will seek fresh consent where required.

14. Governing law and complaints

These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales. If you are a consumer living elsewhere in the UK, you retain any mandatory protections and may bring proceedings in the courts available to you under applicable law. Please contact support@example.com first so we can try to resolve a complaint.
